Meet Your Physical Therapist - Kristen Dabbo, DPT

Hi, I’m Kristen and I’m excited to welcome you to Reignite Personal Physical Therapy. I achieved my Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut and worked full-time in an outpatient therapy clinic since 2013. During that time, I also served as a clinic manager overseeing a staff of numerous other physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and support staff.

Since my early days as an avid tennis and volleyball player in school, I have continued my enthusiasm for all-things health and fitness over the years, including CrossFit®, Spartan races, running, spinning, scuba diving, hiking, rucking, indoor rock climbing, and now chasing around my two kids! In my professional career, I have treated hundreds of patients of all ages with a variety of ailments, including post-surgery rehab, amputees, Parkinson’s, and athletes with acute and chronic injuries.

When my family and I moved to South Carolina, I took the opportunity to start my own practice and combine my years of clinical experience with my passion for fitness. I started Reignite to provide personal, private therapy and training to help my patients achieve their goals while avoiding injury.

Since starting Reignite in 2022, I have developed professional relationships with several local gyms in Myrtle Beach, Carolina Forest, and Conway, offered running and tennis technique workshops, and have sponsored local races and a fitness competition. In my personal time, I spend as much time as I can with my daughters but I’m also active within the local Myrtle Beach fitness community - routinely attending classes at the gyms or competing in competitions - and have met and built friendships with so many wonderful people.

Whether you’re a competitive athlete, a weekend warrior, or just looking to keep in shape, but nagging pain or past injury is holding you back, I will spend the needed one-on-one time with you, around your busy schedule, to develop custom rehab and training plans. I look forward to seeing you in the gym!
