Out of Network, In Control

Direct, for-hire physical therapy gives you the freedom and flexibility to train when you need it, how you need it, with no insurance limits* on visits or treatment methods.

Benefits of Direct, For-Hire Physical Therapy

How it Works

Whether you’re suffering from a new or chronic condition that’s limiting your ability to train and perform, or you’re just looking to optimize your current training to improve technique and stay injury free, Reignite Personal Physical Therapy can help. At Reignite, you can sign up for a one hour or 30 minute one-on-one session with Kristen Dabbo, a doctor of physical therapy (DPT), who will perform an initial evaluation and then design a custom treatment and training plan to help you get back to doing what you love. You’ll also have the benefit of training directly in the gym, on the field, or in your own back yard. As a direct, for-hire service outside health insurance*, there are no insurance limitations on treatment methods or number of visits.

*A note about physician referrals: While no physician referral is generally required to get started, if you are treated for a specific injury or ailment, after 30 days a progress note and referral will be submitted to your primary care physician before further therapy is continued. For general proactive wellness, injury prevention, and training that isn’t specific to a current injury or ailment, a further physician referral would not be required. If, at any time, your physical therapist assesses your condition requires further medical evaluation, you will be referred to a physician.

*A note about Medicaid, Medicare, or other federally-funded health insurance: Per policy, individuals who are covered by Medicaid, Medicare or another federally-funded health insurance plan may not be eligible for direct access to physical therapy services without a physician referral, and even then may not be able to see a provider out-of-network if other in-network providers are available. Please feel free to contact Reignite if you have questions regarding this, though you will likely be directed to your physician and insurance provider for further guidance.

Therapy on Your Terms

By offering a direct, for-hire service, Reignite gives you the flexibility to determine how and where to receive physical therapy and training. Whether in the gym or just in your own backyard, direct-hire allows the freedom to train with a physical therapist on your terms to achieve your personal fitness goals.

In most outpatient physical therapy clinics, you will receive just enough treatment to help you recover from whatever ailment you’ve suffered. After this, you’ll be discharged and on your own. But, at Reignite, the therapy doesn’t just stop once you’re no longer hurt. By offering private training sessions, you will have the opportunity to train in your sport or activity, while receiving continued professional instruction in technique and injury prevention from a licensed physical therapist to help you excel.

No Insurance Limitations

Many health insurance policies have restrictions on physical therapy services. For example, your insurance may limit the number of times you may visit a physical therapy clinic and may not cover certain treatments. Or, your insurance may require an initial referral from your physician before you can go to physical therapy. At Reignite, there is no insurance intermediary, and thus no limits or time waiting for approvals.

Additionally, at Reignite, you get the unique benefit of receiving fitness training from a licensed doctor of physical therapy to help you build strength and improve technique to prevent future injury in your sport or activity, even after you’ve already recovered from a past injury or ailment. This proactive training would typically not be covered by health insurance regardless. So, if you’re looking for more than just recovery, and actually want to perform and improve, Reignite’s direct-hire, out-of-network service is for you.

One-on-One with a DPT

When you visit a traditional physical therapy clinic, you will often sit in a waiting room and, once you eventually get in, you may only get to spend a few minutes with a physical therapist - if you even see a therapist at all. In some clinics, during follow-up visits, you may be seen by a physical therapist assistant (PTA). Unfortunately, many therapists in clinics are overbooked, making you lucky to get 15-30 minutes of face time during your visit.

With Reignite, you will always have a private, dedicated one-on-one visit with a DPT for a full hour or 30 minute session of your choice. No waiting rooms, no wasted time.

Flat, Up Front Cost

When visiting a physical therapy clinic and using your health insurance, you will inevitably have co-pays. And, considering many therapists in outpatient clinics are overbooked, you may only get limited direct face time with a therapist (or assistant) each visit. So, you can easily end up visiting multiple times a week to get the treatment you need while your co-pays add up.

At Reignite, you’ll pay a flat, up front cost for your private sessions. This allows you to receive quality care and training in fewer visits. Further, all services are available with the one flat cost, including specialty treatments like dry needling. And, Reignite offers discounted packages for multiple sessions.
